Libraries are no longer just a place to check out books. They are a place to have fun and share interests.  Public libraries have become the place to be with programs like  “Baby & Me” and “Henna Body Art”.

Emily Sanders, a librarian at the Eastern Public Library invite children to listen to stories at their regular Story time held every Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Scrap booking and other activities are held periodically throughout the year.

Roxanna Rupe and Charlotte Bauman, librarians at the Coolville Public Library, have activities scheduled for a variety of community members. 

The “Baby & Me” program, held Mondays at 10 a.m., allows parents and caregivers a chance to talk to grownups and babies to gain social skills as they share songs, stories, lap bounces and play. Sitting still is not a requirement.

Join other quilters at the Quilt Group meetings held on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 1 p.m.  Share quilting ideas and pick up great tips from experienced quilters. Feel free to bring you quilting project or completed works.

Teens may participate in “Teen Stuff” every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. Past activities include henna body art, donut making, card and board games and movie days.

Young adult book club allows teens to participate in the selection of the month’s book, read the book at their leisure, then get together to share their opinions of it.  The club meets twice a month on the second and fourth Mondays at 5 p.m.

Join seniors in the community as they reminisce about the good ole days at “Recollections”.  Gatherings are held monthly on the third Tuesday at 1 p.m.
